"Coming Home"

Paint was worn for many occasions....hunting, warfare, special ceremonies and more warranted decorating oneself. Upon returning home, paint was removed, as it was no longer called for. In some tribes, this was done before entering the village; in others, a central building was used to cleanse oneself as soon as the warrior came home.

Original Oil framed 18"x24" $2200.
